I can't respond about what my parents did to comfort me because I stuttered. They did nothing. No speech therapy, they just ignored the issue and me. What I can offer is hope. A noted physician has linked stuttering and Tourettes. He has a drug in clinical trials at NIH. It looks favorable. Please go to Youtube: Dr.Gerald Maguire. Also, Google his name.
