Congratulations, /u/jameselmoflynn Happy to hear that you are already seeing results by applying the talk-slow technique. It works for me as well, but it's just that I kind of forget to use most of the time and then the words are stuck playing catch up with my breath but I will make it a point to speak slowly and clearly. I even tried talking in a low tone as it seemed helpful when I practice it alone, but implementing it in real life made me more conscious of the stutter. Personally, if I kinda forget that I have stutter or don't think about it in a conversation, I do fairly well, but I start to stutter the moment I remember that I have it, which is what talking in a low tone does for me. Anyway, glad to hear that you have overcome the fear of talking on the phone. Hoping I do too, someday.
