Well....I think that the fact that you are even thinking about applying for this means you should. I know you are scared, but do it? Just apply. See what happens. If it gets to the point where they want you -- and you want them; don't take it just cause they will hire you; you get to decide if it's a place your really want to be! -- the phone calls will very likely get easier. You will care less and less if you stutter just from the constant exposure. Also, you will probably actually come to stutter less. Others on here would tell you that's happened to them when they've taken leaps like this. I really encourage you to do this. Even if this job doesn't happen, it's really good practice, you know? I mean, just getting used to telling an interviewer that, yes, sometimes you stutter, but you don't let it hold you back, is a really great thing in itself. Sometimes these things we say that are only half true when we say them, become true in time. You seem right on the edge of that. Go for it.
