When I was going through the testimonies & experiences of others, while researching for the article I found that this is a universal experience among people who stutter; i.e.others trying to deny or minimise our experiences with Stuttering. There's also an open letter which a parent of a young man from India who stutters, wrote to all parents of children who stutter. I found it very touching because he honestly admits how wrong and misguided he was about how stuttering actually imparted his son's life.
