You mean, why is it hard to admit to people that you have a stutter and to start talking with a stutter? Because we are ashamed of it. People, in general, find it hard to admit their imperfections, like a tendency to baldness, being overweight, short height, and so on. We tend to hide our flaws. But there are exceptions. These are my thoughts.
