It is true that we **may** only have a *predisposition* towards stuttering, although I don't think its fair to say that it can triggering this predisposition can entirely be avoided. Twin studies seem to support this viewpoint but there has been no substantial research to show what actually activates this predisposition to stuttering in individuals And unlearning trauma e.g. social trauma is not easy. I have been exposing myself to social situations very frequently to become more relaxed in such situations, but if all you get is negative feedback, it tends to have the opposite effect. *With your alcohol theory, You are looking for something that I doubt exists* What do you mean by this?
