I still remember a consulting meeting where, literally, there were 20-30 high-ranking executives and I was one of the project leads reporting out. When we went around the room for introductions, I was dreading saying my own name... I could not say my name easily, so I paused with an audible 'um' until the right "mindset" was there. Must have taken too long because the person next to me was like, "Did you forget?" It was funny for everyone else, and at least it dispelled some of the stress. Still, I didn't appreciate it at the time, but rolled with it anyway. But that stress though! Come on body, let's introduce ourselves normally next time, okay?
