Hey, thanks for your comment and for saying my name sounds familiar. I’ve been contributing in this stuttering space in discord server for about a year and in the sub Reddit for a bit. So I can only share based on my own personal experience, in beating my stutter: I agree with you 100% that the more I thought about stuttering, and gave it power like you said, the more of a negative impact it had on my life. It’s not to say that just not thinking about it fixes or reduces stuttering because it took me a lot to reduce it significantly and stay fluid or stay with good speech in the real world like being out in public. The job thing, one of the hardest, hardest things for me to have dealt with. And I get your feelings of not being first choice, and I had my own fault along the same lines. That would’ve fluent normal. Non-Stetter can do naturally it takes us a lot of work. That being said, I do think it’s possible to have a job that makes us very happy, I just think it takes the right situation and circumstance. I’d love to keep the dialogue open with you, you seem like a great guy. PS: one thing that has always helped me with the job process, is scheduling some job interviews for positions that I did not want, because I needed practice. I think that practice helps get the nerves out. It’s not gonna fix our speech magically, but it’ll help give us the best chance to have the best speech that we can.
