this has been such a curse lately; not only can i not say my first name, i always have to repeat it or spell it bc it’s not a name familiar to most people. also changed my name after i got married and it turns out the NATO alphabet spelling is all letters that don’t flow together easily. ugh 😑 i just say i’m a stutterer. they’re confirming they have the right patient in front of them and don’t know it’s exhausting/stressful unless you say. No need for protocol to obstruct patient care.
