I think that speech therapists can't help you because they don't understand what exactly is stammer, because they never had it. Only things that they can do it is giving useless advice and exercises to control your stammer. It may helps you for some time, because you feel that this people understands you and you feel yourself more comfortable. (More control is More stuttering) I advice don't control your stummer never, try to not overthinking just relax and try express yourself more, don't afraid of people reactions. Sorry my english guys ;) P.S Have you red any books about stutter?
