Stuttering has a strong generic component so it may be inherited. I will say if you're worried whether/how stuttering would affect your daughter, I think your attitude around it will have a big impact. If you worry and fear stuttering, that will communicate to her that it's bad and she will begin to fear and feel bad and avoid it too. If you reinforce to her that stuttering is ok and there's nothing wrong with her, she simply speaks differently, that is a much healthier self image to reinforce.
