Your stuttering might stick around for life but it doesn't have to ruin it. The downward spiral is tough to break out of. I myself was at the bottom of one, but my latest strategy to reverse it was to simply stop thinking about it. I previously accepted that I am a stutterer and that it's okay to stutter. That realization ironically made me fluent, but it faded away as I didn't have the answer to how to maintain that fluency. I still don't, but if I get badly tripped up on words I just brush it off and move on without thinking about it. Keep living my life despite it, and in the process I allow myself to find natural ways to speak regardless of how much I stutter. Maybe it's my specific personality, but so much of my social awkwardness boils down to overthinking everything.
