As someone who’s suffered from a speech impediment and was in the military. You definitely can do it with practice. I learned to mask mine though it was painfully obvious in BCT but it didn’t hold me back entirely. I think the hardest thing about having a stutter isn’t the speech blocks themselves. It’s the fact that we convince ourselves of everything we can’t do. It’s the spending so much time thinking about how much better our lives would be without it. I know what you’re going through is tough but most of us in here have gone through the same thing. Expose yourself to being uncomfortable and realize that you’re no better or worse than anyone else, speech impediment or not.
