Thanks for sharing your research. I really like the work by Chris Constantino. He is a PwS and SLP. He talks about spontaneity - high effort + high attention = low spontaneity and low effort + low attention = high spontaneity. Using speech techniques can result in more fluent speech BUT require high effort/attention so this should be balanced with the spontaneity and freedom from stuttering and not using a fluency technique. It’s an interesting concept and I think illustrates the cost-benefit of fluency techniques versus stammering openly.
