I've honestly given up hope that there will be a cure because there isn't enough money for research and we're practically part of the minority side when it comes to finding a cure because not a lot of people stutter. I was reading an article where researchers may think using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) could be a possible cure where it activates part of the brain (the Broca area where the speech motor is located) but I haven't tried it yet. They're techniques we can do, but those techniques dont end up working after a while. Back in middle School and high school I used my index finger and Every time I talk I would put my hands on my lap and just move my index finger up and down pretending I'm drawing a line from top to bottom during every speech. Now that technique doesn't work on me anymore after 7 years. But I hope my old technique would work for someone.
