Consider yourself on the same level as them and talking on a peer-to-peer basis. And challenge yourself to believe that you deserve fair treatment from others and that your stuttering doesn’t make you less than other people. Also, try to focus on connecting with others and focusing on them so you’re not so focused on yourself. You could also tell people that you stutter up front and then stutter on purpose to build confidence and let your brain know that you are doing ok. Remember that every word you say has meaning and that when you’re done saying the word you stutter on, it will accomplish something for you and for the other person you’re speaking with
