Anyone else keep ending in jobs that require a lot of talking/client interaction by chance? This is just a random thought that I had but I somehow keep getting jobs and roles that require a lot of talking. I have a stutter all of my life and always have anxiety talking, especially through the phone/online. It has gotten aloooot better in recent year but it still somethings that plagues me. Well anyways, I just reflect on a lot of the jobs I had and its all talking intensive jobs such as tech support at my local college and another tech support job through the phone at an accounting software company. These are just the first opportunities I got and just decided to roll with it because I needed the money. Most recently, I was an intern, now a student worker, at a CPA firm and they asked me if I want do tax or audit, I really wanted the job so I said I'm down for whatever. They put in audit which requires much more client interaction and talking due the nature of the job where we are double checking the company's processes. Tbh, I kinda grateful for being put in these jobs as while they were the most anxiety inducing years of my life, it really helped push through my stuttering and how to live it.
