I work in public education and am going to school to be a teacher too. Honestly sometimes the stutter is an advantage, not a lot but sort of. I have to speak slower to be understood, little kids and students with slow processing benefit from that. Speaking in unison is strangely more fluent, I know Im not the only one here who experiences that. There is a lot of speaking in unison in early elementary. Story time, nursery rhymes, classroom expectations, all can be said together as a class. Little kids are more understanding than most people give them credit for. They might find you interesting because you talk differently. Imagine how inspired some of us would’ve been to have a teacher like us? You can be that teacher! If you haven’t already, find a way to volunteer at a school or some sort of kids day camp. A lot of teachers find a new career after a year or two because its not what they thought it would be. Best of luck
