Battled with my stutter all day today and ultimately won So I’m starting my career in the trades and I’ve been in school for 3 weeks. My stutter has been really bad with a bunch of blocks these last 8 or so months. Today we were split up in small groups doing a project and then came together as a class and I can’t believe the amount of talking I did today! I normally can go by the entire day without saying more than 50 words the entire day but today people in my group were asking me questions about the math we did and how to calculate the takeoffs and we were talking about our history. Mind you my speech was very choppy still but I am very happy with the outcome with how much fighting I won with my speech. Normally if I know I’m going to have a block I stay silent and dont engage with anyone but that really took a turn today. I had continuous conversations with maybe 5 different people periodically and everyone was so patient and when I would put my hand up to apologize they would tell me its all good and to take my time. Today gave me bravery to try to talk to more people in my class and really network out! Today was a win!!!
