Just because I have a very special attachment to Berserk that helped me through a dark time. It’s probably dumb to take inspiration from fantasy (I know it actually isn’t once you realize there are some crazy driven people out there) but something about Guts fighting against the “currents of casualty” while being branded has always echoed my own life I’ve inherited.
