I have a stutter that's mild but can become moderate in stressful situations and I just had a job interview a few weeks ago for a healthcare position. There were many other people at the interview who were interviewing for the same position which made me nervous. I didn't disclose my stutter to the interviewer (I never do) but I stuttered pretty badly through the interview even though I was confident in my answers. I left the interview feeling terrible and knowing I bombed it but surprisingly the interviewer called me back and offered me the job about 1 1/2 weeks later. We are our biggest critics and are very hard on ourselves about our stutter when in reality others may not even care as much as we think they do.
