I tried the speecheasy device about 17 years ago. It only worked in a very quiet and controlled environment, like reading out loud to myself or talking to the doctor 1 on 1. When I tried using it in “the real world”, it picked up every sound in the room and I was hearing a million things at once in my ear, and it didn’t work
