I worked with a professor who stuttered - he called me for general teaching help but I also wanted to address his stuttering since I know how students react. I suggested that he acknowledge it from the beginning and inform the students that they would get used to it - maybe similarly to accents - but to just let him know if they really couldn’t understand something. Also it got lighter when he was on a roll, I think. I hope that was ok.
