Like you, my stutter is relentless. I too don’t feel parity with most stutterers as most don’t stutter to such a considerable degree. As you know, stuttering is a spectrum with varying levels of severity. Most people fall into the moderate category, whereas outliers such as ourselves are in the severe category. It’s no wonder why you feel so isolated even in a community comprised of less than 1% of the population. Communicating with a severe stutter is far more tiresome and soul crushing than stuttering with a mild stutter. I know 1 guy with a mild stutter and it is hardly noticeable when contrasted with someone like me. He’s also a jolly and gregarious guy, which is likely due to the fact that people don’t treat him any different than they would anybody else. people like us are in a camp of our own.
