Remember this is a mutual interview for what is essentially a business deal. Your value isn’t wrapped up in this job being a good match for you! During my worst times I usually just come out with it straight away. I tell them that I stutter and that things like interviews can make it worse. Ask them to please excuse the inconvenience, see past it, and to understand that it won’t impact my job performance. I’ve only been treated with compassion when I’ve done that. Other people have wanted to see me succeed. You got this!
