Mid 20s. It took a long time to accept it, wasn't an overnight change. Just need to understand that the opinions of strangers don't matter. If somebody is the type of person to make fun of your disability, they aren't the type of person worth being around. Most people really don't care. If anything I find more people who are just confused about your speech more than anything, because they've never been around a person who stutters. Once you get passed that with them, it's just another disability and they treat you normally.
