Going into the DM role... Good idea? So I've really been into D&D lately and I've had thoughts of playing as a DM (dungeon master). For those unfamiliar with D&D this is the person who is in control of the story and builds the world and encounters the other players will face. He will describe everything the players see, what they are able to do, what the NPCs (non player characters) say and do, etc. Essentially he is the story teller for the other players. What this means of course is that there will be a lot of talking on my part as I try describing things to players. My stutter is pretty mild but I still worry about how effective of a DM I will be when I do this if it gets in the way. I was thinking of trying a one-shot adventure (one session long adventure) and see how it goes from there.
