Connection between OCD & stutter I've had chronic anxiety since age 4, and my stutter began then too. I used to speak really well before that apparently, and was quite outgoing and charismatic for a toddler. lol. Between the ages of 4 and 7, the stutter was only there sometimes. It'd come, cause me great embarrassment for about a month or so, and then it'd go away again, much to my relief. After age 7, it came as usual, but never went away. That was also the age I developed OCD. Is there a connection? I also remember at this same time, having a dream that was quite strange. I was watching myself on a TV screen, walking along a street, wearing a red t-shirt. And for some reason, the footage kept dragging me back and then repeating, so I kept walking a few steps, then having to start over, walking the same steps, etc, over and over again, and it felt exactly the same as how it felt when trying to talk...very frustrating and a challenge.
