Sometimes I feel like being nonverbal

Sometimes I feel like being nonverbal I’ve stuttered for my whole life and even though speech therapy has helped me, it’s still tiresome to speak sometimes. I still have to think about the position of my tongue to remember how to pronounce certain letters. When I stutter, it’s like it makes me physically tired. So I wanted to ask y’all: is it okay to be nonverbal some days? I’d probably be making it harder for the people around me if I don’t speak so I’d feel kinda bad about that. There are some days where I’ll be happy and content but I have no desire to speak. I’ll try to communicate through facial expressions, gestures, and texts. I don’t really know why some days I don’t want to speak or use my voice at all. I’m thinking about learning ASL so I can communicate without stuttering. But I don’t know anyone else to practice ASL with and where to get started. Do y’all have any advice?
