I went to a counselor/therapist while I was in university. I realized a lot of my stuttering issues (really bad days) stemmed from a lot of mental health issues I was dealing with. When you start to understand yourself better you begin to develop coping mechanisms or strategies that work best for you (every person who stutters is different and there's a lot of self discovery needed) .
