I did speech therapy in college, and it was helpful. I went for like a month or 2, and then you just kinda do the same things over and over and I realized that I didn't need to pay for that, so I stopped going. Once you're there long enough to pick up the routine they give you for what will help you, I think it's safe to stop going. It gives a better insight as to why you stutter and how to alleviate it, but you still need to be diligent in your everyday life about it and not forget the techniques they show you.
