Interesting read. In the UK there is a similar and more affordable option called The Starfish project: http://www.starfishproject.co.uk I did the Starfish course and the most helpful part, for me, was just being around other people who stutter and the support network it provides - rather than the breathing technique. This review rightly points out that there is no research showing whether McGuire works. Why is this? I am surprised that the McGuire program has not carried out research to prove its effectiveness.
