I've never looked online for help, because I'm more of a hands on person, but it always frustrated me every time I went to a SLP clinic, not one of them had any speech problems. It also infuriated me that they would try and tell me how they know how I'm feeling. "No lady, you don't, you don't know what it's like to have to talk to people, whether it be in front of a class, or family, and all of them look at you like your retarded or try and finish your sentence for you." Sometimes just talking to other people, who have found ways to work out their speech problems, had done more for me than the thousands I've spent going to clinics. This subreddit, that's free, has done more for me. Someone who has never experienced the problem/s that I've been through is not a good candidate to try and help me, imo
