Yeah my ability to pause mid-stutter and explain that I have a stutter is honestly such a lifesaver. I'm generally ok with public speaking (something about knowing no-one is going to interject, I theorise), but if giving presentations is an issue it may be worth considering declaring at the start that you have a stutter. What's the worst that can happen, is it goes smoothly and people say "But you didn't stutter at all!"? Way better than struggling and having people assume I'm nervous and unprepared IMO.
