My speech therapist told me if you treat your child with a stutter like it has a stutter, it's going to stutter. If you just listen and ignore the stutter, chances are higher that it'll disappear. I found that very interesting. For me it often was the stress of not getting to speak because everyone else is talking too fast and they pass on with their topic. And there I am, waiting for a pause to speak. So I rushed my words, too and voila... Stutter 😅 I felt like nobody would give me the time I need if I would stumble..
