Not a business major but I have touched on public speaking for business owners, I’m 23 and have stuttered ever since I can remember and it really held me back in high school. But I got very into personal development and reading communication/people skills books and I think learning certain things like that gave me the confidence to talk on a stage. For example, a couple weeks back I spoke on a stage in front of roughly 250 people and yeah I stuttered, but I’ve found that most people respect me more for doing it and those that don’t, simply don’t matter, it’s my life and I’m not going to let something like unimportant peoples opinions hood me back. In fact I had multiple people come up to me after and say that they really appreciate me speaking because it really impacted and inspired them, and hearing that makes me personally feel selfish for letting my fear inhibit me from inspiring and impacting other peoples lives. Not sure if this relates exactly but I thought it would be helpful!
