I was glad she was honest, wouldn't prefer it any other way. TBH I think asking her that is a terrible idea. First of all, if it was the case that the stutter was an issue, she'll most likely lie about it (I'd do the same). Secondly, I believe it's okay to have insecurities, but projecting those insecurities will make me seem like a less confident person. Thirdly, worst case scenario, she confirms it was the stutter, and cements my insecurities.
