Well, I can't speak for whole country. Bullying is a severe problem here as well and there's a lot of ragging and bullying going on at different places. But I've never faced any type of bullying or people making fun of me because of my stammer. Just a couple of incidents of people standing 5 feet away giggling when I speak, that's about it. It just depends upon how you handle yourself maybe.
