Brain can't switch between listening and talking

Brain can't switch between listening and talking Hi! I wonder if anyone else sees this pattern in them – I started stuttering a year ago very suddenly, and so far I came to a conclusion that something broke in my brain, in particular the talking/listening switch. I can't utter a word when I am listening to someone speaking or there is a chance that another person starts speaking soon, for instance if this person talks a lot and "dense". Same effect if I have to listen for a while and then it's my turn to speak. It's as if my mind cannot discern anymore whether it's time to shine or it needs to shut up. Is anyone else struggling in this way?
