I started stuttering at 30?!??? So I’m 30. I just stuttered for the first time. I was at the bar and one of the bartenders (a young lady??) came up to me and asked for my order. I leaned in cause the music was VERY loud and I asked for a gin and tonic, she told me “please don’t touch me” and I realized at that moment that I had *gently* touched the back of her arm with my hand when I leaned in to order. I apologized profusely and she asked me what the name was under, I stuttered, not like an embarrassed stutter, but it’s hard to describe, it was a a legitimate stutter. So bad that I was genuinely confused why I was doing it, and she even asked “WHATS THE NAME???” in an annoyed voice, which made me stutter even more as I tried to sound out my last name. I have never had this happen, this was my first drink for the night and it wasn’t an inebriated stutter. I continued to stutter periodically for the rest of the night until now, I’m home and so confused/concerned. Will this go away? What caused this?
