Years ago when he was with UC, Irvine, he was into neurological medications and applications. This was a good 20 years ago, maybe more. At that time it was all about schizophrenia medications and the effects it had on stuttering. I nearly went on the trial, but opted out (was too apprehensive about the potential side effects). I don't know where the research went with that trial, but it was the beginning of treating stuttering as a neurological disability. It was ground breaking stuff to have a hypothesis like that at the time.
