The problem is he just lacks understanding for the situation. I put his reaction down to total ignorance - but that doesn't mean it won't still affect me. I wouldn't be able to get him to understand how stressful it is to have a stutter if I had an eternity to explain it; so I feel like I can't blame him for having an unsympathetic reaction. Outside of that he's a nice guy. I've been at uni for a year already, it's just here people of all years seem to go freshers. Last year I didn't attend most of it because I spent all of it in my flat drawing, but I'm trying to make up for that this year. I've still not mastered the art of approaching somebody without being stuck on the first word, unable to speak.
