~~I'm very discouraged by the negativity OP is receiving.~~ Some of us have found fluency after being severe stutterers. I've shared my story numerous times in this subreddit. That being said I am ~~a little skeptical of OP~~ VERY UNTRUSTING OF OP. OP has not disclosed any qualifications, specialized training, or education. I have a pretty good feel for how my stuttering was corrected and how I achieve fluency, but I don't believe in a one size fits-all program. I would never be as arrogant to think that what worked for me might work for somebody else. I believe that the therapist is a key part of achieving fluency. That they will identify the needs of the Stutterer and tailor a program to that person. I see very few people come through this subreddit with ill intent. ~~I will give op benefit of the doubt and assume that they are simply trying to help.~~ The main reason I come to the subreddit is to see if I can help. Achieving fluency does take a lot of hard work. Improved fluency is attainable for many of us. I will always encourage those who want greater fluency to pursue fluency. If one program doesn't work, seek another. It is my belief that having the proper therapist is also a key factor in improving your fluency. For those of you seeking fluency, don't ever let anyone tell you that it's unattainable. Their belief stems from their personal experience. Just as my belief stems from mine. Obviously, OP and I have both had success. There is no reason why you cannot achieve success as well. EDIT: I asked OP to share experience to demonstrate credibility. OP failed to disclose anything meaningful. Looking at OP profile, considering the points made by u/Apexmisser, and the denial made by OP all add up to the conclusions others are making.
