I stutter, my mother stutters, my grandfather stutters, and probably his parents did too. No, the fact that my mother also stutters didn't raise my self esteem nor did it help my life. The only reason I'm not hating her for having me is because she didn't know better. I don't know about you people, but for me life as a stutterer sucks, and I wouldn't take even 0.5% risk of bringing a human being into this hell. Why not adopt a perfectly healthy new-born?
