No that is not right. We can't do all the jobs like newscaster, actor or any other job depends excellent speking skills, but don't hide behind of stuttering to cover your whole life chooses. What did you do for get well paid and didn't get it because of your speech? What are your skills and experience? I've 4 friends who stutter, one of them is freelance full stack developer who earning 6 figures, one of them is lead ux designer in a tech company and earning well (he also mentoring me about ux career) . One of them is car mechanic and last one is thinking like you. I am doing pretty okay myself. Those are people just i know, you can google some famous people who is stutter and successful. I am sorry if i sound harsh but really there are tons of well paying jobs that doesn't care how you speak. You need to adapt to the situation, yes you and i will never be in a brodway musical but we have tons of other alternatives.
