This condition doesn’t define who we are. Truly, you are so much more than your stutter. When others recognize our depth beyond our speech I believe what are saying is much more than how we speak. Yes, I totally understand that each of us has varying degrees of this condition. Some of us block so severely that we are unable to say our names. Some of us have random blocks, repetitions, and prolongations, but doing everything we can whether professional or self help is vital. We need to believe there can be improvement. Then, disclosure reduces our anxiety as well as sets the expectations in others. It’s Ike, ok, this person stutters, but let’s listen to the value in what he has to say. I wish you the best.
