28M here. As a kid my experience was being largely ignored probably in part due to my stutter and general shyness. With age though, I’ve found most women who are attracted to me find it pretty cute. It can feel a bit infantilizing at times but for the most part I think they just see it as a quirk and want to support me. I think having a stutter has become a fairly good litmus test for romantic partners. If someone has an issue with it, they’re not going to be a good match. The ones who truly like you for you will support you, no matter if you choose to seek professional help, work on it yourself, or accept it as part of you. I’ve had two girlfriends and both were supportive of me and my stutter. A handful of bad dates can be discouraging, but there is someone out there who won’t just tolerate, but will celebrate every part of you.
