Adult sudden onset after aphasia Okay, I don't know where to turn but I am hopeful you guys can help. July 3rd I woke up fine. By 230pm I started to stutter, never happened to me before so it was odd but I took a break from cleaning and rested. By 530pm I couldn't even say a single word so my sister took me to the ER. Not a stroke, CT and MRI clear. I only have asthma and allergies significant in my medical history. They say it's a complex migraine and send me home, I didn't have a headache at any point however. July 4 and 5 I'm fine. Perfectly okay. July 6th and beyond? I stutter. It takes great force to complete a sentence and my chest and head end up hurting. I can sing and speak in voices and I'm fine but I am curious to know if anyone has heard of this striking out of nowhere! I'm 43, never stuttered, no one in my family stutters. Stress level has been remarkably low lately. There is literally nothing I can pinpoint and the neuro and doc are baffled and not much help I do have speech therapy for the end of the month but I am trying to figure out... why?!?! I want to say thank you all for any help you can give! I would like to return one day to English teaching and I just would like to know if something is wrong!
