First I want to say that it will be hard, you got to know the truth. But know that high school will be hard for a great many of kids with all sorts of other issues as well. Even if you’re the only PWS at your school, you’re not alone in feeling alone and vulnerable. I found people with these issues kind of end up befriending each other. Second. If you need to, and you’re in the US, go to the school administration and demand that reasonable accommodations be made for you by order of the American with Disabilities Act. You have a right to be treated equally when it comes to grading and your speech. I had two high school teachers think they were gonna cure my speaking anxiety by forcing me to speak in class by holding my participation grade over my head and this cleared that up. It’s cliche but there’s always going to be assholes. They’re insecure about themselves and have to take it out on others so they feel superior. It’ll hurt, but you’ll be able to move on, just know that they themselves are broken people. I would suggest putting a high priority on your mental health. Come home from school and try to make the time to do the things that you love. It may be hard to get the time to do so, but it’s important for us to de-stress every day. Also most public school districts have some kind of speech pathologist on staff, they may not be good but you never know. Seek this information out and try to get into contact with them.
