A deep acceptance of what you were born with not only heals your mind, but also your stutter in many ways. For years, I’ve tried a lot of ways to tackle my stutter head on. I’m now in my mid 20s. From the many years of my relationship with my stutter, there are two things that act as principles with how I believe society should react with my stutter: 1. People don’t really care if I stutter. 2. If they do care, and they’re mean about it, they’re assholes. I still stutter to this day. Granted, I’ve improved my fluency, but still dread to say words like, “cookie” or “cooking”. Besides stuttering, I’ve really looked past to focus on other important areas in my life…
